The 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT will receive an available bronze appearance package, along with some performance enhancements, for the new model year.<\/p>\n
The appearance package includes a bronze grille, badges, and 20-inch wheels. It is available with the paint colors Shadow Black, Star White Metallic, and Eruption Green (new for 2024). Ford stated that a Mach-E GT with this package and the extended-range battery package will start at $60,990 before destination charges.<\/p>\n
The package also comes with an “optional performance upgrade opportunity” that will deliver the fastest 0-60 mph time of any production Mach-E to date, according to Ford. Details will be released at a later date.<\/p>\n
For reference, Ford states that the current Mach-E GT goes from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds in standard form and 3.5 seconds in the Performance Edition. Ford has also mentioned that the Mach-E Rally, slated for the 2024 model year, will further improve the 0-60 mph time of the Performance Edition.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Mach-E GT also features standard magnetic suspension damping, upgraded front brakes with 15.2-inch rotors and Brembo calipers, and high-performance front seats (including a 10-position power driver’s seat) for 2024.<\/p>\n
No other details for the 2024 model year have been announced for non-GT versions of the Mach-E, although more information on these performance variants is likely to be available soon.<\/p>\n
Ford has been consistently refining the Mach-E since its launch as a 2021 model. It introduced LFP batteries in the base versions of the Mach-E from last year, with such battery types aimed at making electric vehicles more affordable.<\/p>\n
In 2021, Ford planned to triple Mach-E production by 2023, but it seems to have deviated somewhat from that strategy. Part of the reason could be the federal tax credit for electric vehicles.
