Acura MDX 2022

The 2022 Acura MDX has successfully passed the testing and accident prevention program of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), earning the Top Safety Pick+ designation.

The Acura three-row crossover was redesigned for the 2022 model year and is built on a new, future-ready platform that will eventually support other models from the Honda/Acura families. It achieved top ratings in all areas of the non-profit organization’s safety and accident prevention tests, and thanks to the MDX’s standard LED headlights, there are no caveats in that result; it applies to each and every 2022 MDX model.

To earn Top Safety Pick+ recognition this year, a vehicle must receive a “Good” rating in all crash tests, achieve an “Advanced” or “Superior” rating in both crash prevention tests (vehicle and pedestrian), and must receive at least an “Acceptable” rating for all its headlights offerings. The MDX received the highest possible rating in each of these categories; it was also rated as “Good+” for the ease of use of its LATCH child seat anchors.

The 2022 MDX SUV houses a 290-horsepower V-6 engine combined with a new double-wishbone front suspension for increased precision during cornering. Maneuverability is further enhanced with the integrated dynamic system and 20-inch alloy wheels.
