Automóvil del futuro

The automotive industry is increasingly committed to innovation. Rumors circulating in this area focus on autonomous vehicles, meaning they will not require a driver. There is also the topic of electric vehicles, which exempt you from the use of gasoline, and they will have the ability to transform, and most importantly, the car will achieve hyperconnectivity.

The car of the future: hyperconnected

The fact is that nowadays, most people heavily depend on their mobile phones. The latest inventions of wearable devices and their excellent reception capabilities are just a small part of this fact. In other words, there is no need to reject the launch of the super-connected car. Predictions suggest that the car will become the “fourth screen.” And this is expected to happen in the short to medium term.

People will wonder how hyperconnectivity comes to the vehicle. Betting on technology that can be used in smartphones, it is estimated that you will be able to turn on the heating at home from the vehicle’s touchscreen. There is also a concept that combines a telematics box with an aircraft’s “black box” with GPS and an integrated SIM card. This will allow the introduction of emergency call equipment, which will help emergency services act more quickly when a vehicle is involved in an accident.

Autonomy

Many manufacturers are developing autonomous cars that do not require a driver to operate. An example of this is Google’s car without a steering wheel or pedals, or even Ford’s sensor system, where you can park without using the steering wheel.

To implement autonomous vehicles, many factors must be considered. Therefore, the date is still uncertain, but we should not expect it to become a market reality soon. Companies like Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, or Google have already proposed prototypes.

Transformable Cars

The automotive industry will not stop thinking about what cars will be like in ten years. Many experts confirmed that the cars of the future will be able to update themselves internally or even externally. At the last Geneva Motor Show, AKKA Technologies showcased a prototype of the car 20 years later. We’re talking about Link & Go, an electric car whose front seats can be turned backward, allowing passengers to talk and interact with the attached flat screen. This is a car designed to connect to the internet while driving.

There is still a long way to go to own this type of car, but let’s not forget that even if they are autonomous, ultra-connected, and transformable cars, it is possible that you will still need to purchase car insurance.
