For the first time, BMW and MINI have launched a virtual car show. It will open on November 17 and digitally reconstruct the stands that cannot be visited this year due to commercial and popular events for BMW and MINI models. There is no doubt that if everything goes as planned, then 2021 will mark the return of international auto shows like Detroit, Munich, or the Mobile World Congress. Others, such as the Geneva Motor Show, will not even be held next year.

The show will feature plug-in hybrid and electric models, such as the BMW iX3 or plug-in hybrids from the BMW 7 Series, BMW M8 Gran Coupe, and the entire MINI series.

As explained by the German brand, in addition to a group of product experts, 328 BMW business consultants and 183 MINI consultants will participate in the extended live broadcast (including holidays).

The virtual car show is expected to host 11 streaming media conferences. These conferences will be broadcast on the virtual exhibition website and the brand’s social channels.

A few years ago, BMW began to reconsider its presence in major auto shows to switch to a more effective business model. This means – although it has been forced in 2020 – more online technology and mobility projects and strategies.
