Dacia has unveiled a new badge and logo, set to appear on the company’s vehicles from the second half of the upcoming year 2022.

The first new Dacia car to feature the redesigned brand will likely be the Bigster SUV, scheduled to be released in 2022 as the company’s initial foray into the large SUV market.

Departing from the old shield design, Dacia’s new badge now consists simply of the word “Dacia” in a stylized block font. The company’s upcoming models will also sport a new radiator grille logo, crafted using the letters “D” and “C” from the insignia.

Dacia has also shifted its color scheme from silver and blue to khaki green, a choice meant to “evoke the brand’s closeness to nature.” Allegedly, this is also a nod to the company’s rugged SUVs, such as the Dacia Duster.

The new branding, intentionally simplified, serves as a reminder of Dacia’s no-frills business model. Denis Le Vot, CEO of Dacia, described the company’s stance, stating, “Dacia is the brand that constantly redefines what is essential in the automotive industry.”
