As we stand on the brink of a new year, 2024 promises to bring a wave of exciting automotive innovations. Here’s a summary of the vehicles set to hit the roads in the coming year.

With just three days left in 2023, we are about to embark on a year filled with highly anticipated developments in the automotive world. 2024 is expected to be prolific in the launch of new models, including long-awaited releases like the electric Renault 5 and the Range Rover EV, the brand’s first electric vehicle.

In addition to these launches, several existing models are set to receive updates. Below, we detail some of the most notable vehicles scheduled to arrive in 2024.

Alfa Romeo

Alfa Romeo will introduce the 33 Stradale, a reinterpretation of the 1960s classic, available in both gasoline and electric versions. The launch of the Alfa Romeo Milano, a B-segment SUV developed in collaboration with Jeep Avenger and Fiat 600, is also anticipated.

Audi

Audi has plans to unveil the highly anticipated Audi Q6 e-tron, an electric SUV, as well as the wagon version of the Audi A6 e-tron, known as the A6 Avant e-tron.

BMW

BMW has several surprises in store, including the wagon version of the new BMW 5 Series, in both conventional and electric (i5 Touring) versions. March will see the debut of the new generation BMW X2 and its electric version, iX2. Other updates include the BMW M3 refresh (including the M3 Touring), and the launch of the new Series 1 towards the end of the year.

BYD

The BYD Seal U, a mid-sized electric SUV with 218 horsepower and a range of about 500 kilometers, is one of BYD’s new offerings for 2024.

Citroën

Citroën will release the new generation of the C3 Aircross, developed on the new CMP architecture of the Stellantis group, starting from late 2023.

Cupra

Cupra will take the spotlight in 2024 with the launches of the Tavascan, a sporty electric SUV, and the Terramar, a plug-in hybrid SUV.

Dacia

The new generation Dacia Duster, known for its off-road capabilities, will arrive at dealerships in the spring of 2024, offering three powertrain options: gasoline/LPG, mild hybrid, and hybrid.

Fiat

Fiat will introduce the hybrid version of the Fiat 600, currently available with a fully electric motor. The launch of the new Panda in an electric format is also expected.

Hyundai

Hyundai will present the new generation Sante Fe, featuring a revamped design and loaded with connectivity technologies. The lineup will also include the Ioniq 5 N (a sporty variant), the Ioniq 7 (a large electric SUV), and an update to the Tucson.

Jeep

Jeep will refresh the Wrangler with a plug-in hybrid engine and introduce the hybrid version of the Jeep Avenger.

Kia

Kia will unveil the new generation Sorento, with significant improvements in technological equipment, and the Kia EV5, a compact electric SUV.

Lancia

2024 marks the return of Lancia, or rather, its revival. The new Lancia Ypsilon will be launched in February, featuring a limited edition with a fully electric motor.

Lotus

Lotus will continue to expand its range of electric cars with the Emeya, a sports sedan boasting 918 horsepower and an impressive 0 to 100 km/h time of 2.8 seconds.

Maserati

Maserati is expected to launch the MC20 Folgore, the electric version of the MC20, and the new Quattroporte, exclusively electric. Additionally, the Grecale Folgore, the electric variant of the Italian SUV, will arrive in the first quarter.

MG

MG will introduce the new MG3, an urban electric car, and a coupe-style SUV. The highly anticipated MG Cyberster, an electric roadster with two motors delivering up to 544 horsepower and 580 kilometers of range, is also on the horizon.

Mercedes

Mercedes will launch various models in 2024, both electric and combustion, including the EQA, EQB, CLE Cabrio, Mercedes-AMG CLE, Mercedes-AMG E, AMG GT, and Mercedes-AMG GLC Coupe.

Opel

Opel will release the new generation of the Crossland, its representative in the B-SUV segment, featuring hybrid and electric powertrain options.

Peugeot

In 2024, Peugeot will refresh the 308, introducing changes in design, equipment, and mechanics. The new generation of the 5008, a seven-seater SUV with gasoline, plug-in hybrid, and electric options, will also be launched.

Polestar

Polestar will enter the market with a new model, the Polestar 4. This vehicle sits between a crossover and a sedan, featuring a coupe design and a unique characteristic: it lacks a rear windshield.

Porsche

In 2024, Porsche will unveil the highly anticipated Porsche Boxster, a new generation highlighting its electric propulsion system. Another notable launch is the Porsche Macan electric, available in three versions with power outputs of up to 612 horsepower.

Range Rover

The Range Rover EV will be one of the most anticipated launches of 2024, representing the brand’s first fully electric Range Rover.

Renault

Renault will present the new Renault 5 electric, a modern adaptation of the classic utility vehicle, in October 2024. Much earlier, at the beginning of the year, the launch of the Renault Scenic E-Tech, the electric version of the French minivan converted into an SUV, is expected.

Skoda

Skoda will update the Kamiq and the Scala and present the new generation of the Skoda Kodiaq and the Superb.

Smart

Smart will launch the #3, a new electric SUV following the footsteps of the #1 but with a more dynamic and sporty design. It offers two versions, one with 272 and another with 428 horsepower, with up to 455 kilometers of range.

Toyota

Toyota’s major introduction will be the new generation Land Cruiser, featuring a design inspired by classic models, and available with a 2.2-liter diesel engine producing 204 horsepower. A hybrid variant is expected in 2025.

Volkswagen

Volkswagen will conclude the overview with launches like the Volkswagen Id.7 Tourer (the wagon version of the electric sedan), the new generation Tiguan, the new T-Cross, and an update to the Golf in 2024.”
