Honda provided the first glimpse of the exterior of the new 2022 Civic Sedan as a preview to the start of its mass production in Alliston, Canada.
Introduced last November with the Civic Prototype, the 2022 Civic Sedan is touted as the most fun-to-drive and technologically advanced sedan in the model’s nearly 50-year history.
Inspired by the timeless design and human-centered values of previous Civics, designers and engineers prioritized a design philosophy focused on maximizing the overall environment for the driver and passengers while minimizing the space needed for mechanical components. The result is a new sporty appearance and a completely redesigned, simple, and sporty interior that promotes the essential Civic values of neat design, simple ergonomics, and exceptional visibility.
As Honda prepares for the Civic’s arrival at dealerships this summer, the Honda Civic Tour returns on April 28. For its twentieth anniversary, the Civic Tour goes virtual this year, with two stops. The main event on April 28 will be live-streamed on the Live Nation Twitch channel, and the second stop will be live-streamed on the Honda Stage YouTube channel later this summer.
As previously announced, the new Civic Hatchback will follow the production of the Civic Sedan by several months. Details about the Civic Hatchback, which Honda will manufacture in the United States for the first time in its history, will be revealed later this year. The Civic Hatchback will be built at the company’s Indiana automotive plant.
