Alianza Hyundai y Kia con NVIDIA

Few automakers have yet to establish a close alliance with the South Korean graphics giant NVIDIA: Tesla, Daimler, Toyota, BMW… Now, Hyundai and Kia have announced that starting in 2022, all their models will come standard equipped with NVIDIA Drive information and entertainment systems.

NVIDIA Drive is an open platform that allows partners to integrate their technology with the AI-based and accelerated computing system. This new operating system comprises an advanced stack of hardware and software, offering enhanced AI-driven audio, video, navigation, connectivity, and car services.

As autonomous driving becomes more prevalent, the company is developing a complex platform capable of mapping, planning, and monitoring extensive sensor data. This collaboration is not new, as Hyundai has been working with NVIDIA since 2015. The Genesis GV80 and G80 already feature next-generation IVI systems utilizing NVIDIA Drive technology. The two companies have also been collaborating on creating an advanced digital cockpit, set to be launched in the second half of 2021.
