Announced some time ago, the Hyundai Bayon has finally been revealed, becoming the smallest model in Hyundai’s SUV lineup.
It features a clearly differentiated design, somehow following the style established by the recent update of the Hyundai Kona.
The slim daytime running lights are connected by a small grille, putting the focus on the lower section and main headlights. The bumper is made of aluminum, and discreet plastic protection devices are present on all undersides. The side profile is striking, with a noticeably raised waistline.
Compact in size, it measures 4,180 mm in length, 1,775 mm in width, 1,490 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,580 mm. This allows for 1,072 mm of legroom in the front seats, 882 mm of legroom in the rear seats, and a 411-liter trunk capacity.
It comes equipped with a multifunction steering wheel, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a central screen of the same size or 8 inches, depending on the installed entertainment system. The device features three USB ports, a wireless charging surface for smartphones, and a premium Bose audio system.
The Hyundai Bayon will be available with engines delivering 84 HP, 100 HP, or 120 HP, with a choice of automatic or manual six-speed transmission and a 48-volt mild-hybrid system.
Furthermore, the Hyundai Bayon will boast a comprehensive list of features under the Hyundai Smartsense umbrella, including lane following assist (LFA), forward collision-avoidance assist (FCA), navigation-based smart cruise control (NSCC), rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist (RCCA), among others.
