Kia continues to take firm steps in its electrification strategy and has just unveiled the new GT versions of the EV3, EV4 and EV5, models that now feature dual-motor setups and increased power, without losing sight of efficiency and everyday usability.

More power, but with balance

The Korean brand has not pursued extreme figures like those of the EV6 GT, but it has delivered a clear boost in performance. Both the EV3 GT and the EV4 GT produce 282 horsepower, while the larger EV5 GT raises output to 302 horsepower. Until now, these models were only available with front-wheel drive and a single motor, prioritizing comfort over sportiness.

According to Kia, the GT versions are designed for drivers seeking a more engaging driving experience, combining enhanced performance, advanced technology, and a clearly more dynamic approach.

Technology and emotional driving

One of the major changes comes with the exclusive GT driving mode, paired with an electronically adjustable suspension. This represents a significant difference compared to the standard versions, which feature a softer setup focused on comfort.

Inside, the new GT models include sport seats, a three-spoke GT steering wheel, and artificial engine sounds with virtual gear changes designed to deliver the sensations of a high-performance car, even though it is 100% electric.

Performance and acceleration

In terms of figures, the EV4 GT positions itself as the quickest, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, closely followed by the EV3 GT at 5.7 seconds. The larger and heavier EV5 GT completes the same sprint in 6.2 seconds, very respectable numbers within its segment.

All models are equipped with an 81.4 kWh battery, although the final WLTP range for the GT versions has not yet been confirmed. In the standard variants, the EV3 reaches up to 605 km, the EV4 up to 633 km, and the EV5 around 555 km, figures that are expected to decrease slightly due to the additional motor and higher energy consumption.

Exterior design with sporty DNA

From a design standpoint, Kia has introduced GT-specific details, new badges, and visual tweaks that reinforce their sporty character. Without going overboard, these changes clearly differentiate the most powerful versions within the electric lineup.

Production and launch

Production of the Kia EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT is scheduled for the second quarter of 2026, with first deliveries expected shortly thereafter. For now, the brand has not confirmed whether the future Kia EV2 will also receive a dual-motor GT version.
