Months ago, we got a glimpse of McLaren’s future plug-in hybrid supercar under the 540C’s body, and later, we saw the final design in patent sketches filed in China with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

Finally, this long and intriguing anticipation comes to an end, as McLaren has just released the official teaser for its upcoming model. We not only get to know its name, McLaren Artura, but also its launch date: February 17.

Tagged by McLaren as their next High-Performance Hybrid (HPH) supercar, this model will fit in between the McLaren GT and the 720S. Where the differences begin is when we talk about its chassis. This model will debut the brand-new carbon fiber chassis known as the McLaren Carbon Lightweight Architecture (MCLA), specifically designed to accommodate electrified powertrains and cutting-edge technologies while maintaining a lightweight structure and high-level performance.

As all the rumors suggest, this new chassis will be equipped with a new plug-in hybrid powertrain, featuring a twin-turbo V6.
