The Italian tire brand Pirelli has been awarded the “Gold Class” designation in the annual report published by S&P Global, which assessed over 7,000 brands.
This accolade is based on the S&P Dow Jones Global Sustainability Index, and Pirelli stands out as the sole company in the global automotive parts industry to receive this honor.
“This recognition highlights the paramount role that sustainability holds within the company and Pirelli’s ability to integrate a responsible approach into all its business activities,” stated Marco Tronchetti Provera, CEO of Pirelli.
Pirelli was acknowledged as a global leader in this field last year, securing a total score of 84 points, significantly surpassing the industry sector average of 35 points.
