Lego and Porsche enthusiasts now have a new reason to spend part of their salary on new toys. Thanks to their latest kit, you might want to place the Porsche 911 Turbo and the 911 Targa from the German sports car’s second generation (930) on your table or shelf. These are the two most iconic models from the 70s and 80s.

The kit consists of 1,458 pieces and allows you to build both the 911 Targa and the 911 Turbo, yes, but not simultaneously. You can switch between them by replacing the rear part and the roof. This is an interesting idea as it frees us from having to choose between one or the other. In fact, Lego was initially debating whether to release a kit for the 911 Targa or the 911 Turbo. During the two-year development process, a very smart person suggested putting both in one box.

Either way, once the construction is complete, the height of the Lego Porsche 911 Turbo or the 911 Targa will be 108 mm, 160 mm, and 355 mm, respectively. All the iconic details are preserved, such as the front with round headlights and the realistically styled bumper. Take the 911 Targa, for example. It features a unique rear window and a removable roof that can be stored in the trunk. On the other hand, the 911 Turbo has a distinctive rear hip widening and the characteristics of a “ducktail” rear wing.

Members of the company’s VIP program can purchase the kit starting from February 16; for everyone else, it will be available from March 1.
