The Audi Q3 has grown in virtually all dimensions and has positioned itself in the high-end compact SUV segment.

Its design, with lines that follow the wheels on the sides and its generous front grille, gives this model a great sense of robustness. Its headlights and taillights have a modern design, adding a touch of elegance to this SUV. The interior of the Q3 is also modern, and its trunk has a capacity of up to 675 liters, with the model accommodating up to 7 passengers.

The Sportback versions, on the other hand, contribute a different design. Its rear is lowered, giving a more curved look to the roof of the 2021 Audi Q3. The RS Sportback version also brings some details that give the model a sportier appearance. With standard progressive steering, sports suspension, and Audi drive select, the Audi Q3 Sportback is the most surprising combination of design and sportiness.

There are three types of engines in the Audi Q3: 35 TFSI 1.5, gasoline with 150 horsepower; 40 TFSI 2.0, gasoline with 180 horsepower; 25 TSFI, gasoline with 400 horsepower.

The first two engines are available in all versions except the RS Sportback, which offers the 25 TSFI as an exclusive engine. Additionally, the transmission is a dual-clutch in all versions, with 6 speeds for the 1.5L engine and 7 speeds for the rest of the engines. The brakes are disc brakes on all four wheels, ventilated at the front and solid at the rear. However, the RS Sportback version has ventilated disc brakes on all four wheels.

The fuel consumption of the Audi Q3 per 100 km is 6.8 liters in the city and 5.5 liters on the highway for the 35 TFSI engine; 10.3 liters in the city and 5.5 liters on the highway for the 40 TFSI engine; and 13.2 liters in the city and 9.5 liters on the highway for the 25 TSFI engine.

Regarding maximum speed and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h, for the 2021 Audi Q3, we have:

  • 35 TFSI: 207 km/h top speed and 9.5 seconds acceleration.
  • 40 TFSI: 233 km/h top speed and 6.4 seconds acceleration.
  • 25 TSFI: 250 km/h top speed and 4.5 seconds acceleration.

The Advanced and S-Line versions, beyond the above, add the dual-zone comfort automatic climate control.

Among some of the optional equipment that can be added to this model, we have: Panoramic sliding roof; Lane departure warning; Pedestrian detection system; Electrically adjustable/foldable and heated exterior mirrors; Ambient lighting package; Anti-theft alarm.

There is no doubt that the Q3 is a luxury SUV with interesting customization options and an attractive design, characterized by offering the versatility of a premium compact SUV with a sporty and youthful image. Among the premium compact SUVs that aim to compete with the Audi Q3 are other crossovers in its class, including the Mercedes GLA, BMW X1, and the Volvo XC40.
