Red Bull has unveiled its new Formula 1 car, the RB16B, online. With this new single-seater and the revamped driver lineup featuring Verstappen and Pérez, they set their sights on beating Mercedes.
The “red bull” racing team aims to conclude this era on a high note, prompting a thorough review of the aerodynamics of their last season’s car, particularly in the midsection, to create the RB16B. Additionally, they have secured a top-tier driver, Sergio Pérez, as Max Verstappen’s teammate.
Surpassing Mercedes won’t be an easy task, as the latter has also worked diligently over the winter. However, Red Bull demonstrated its intentions at the end of 2020 when Verstappen won the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi ahead of the Mercedes cars under normal conditions.
Verstappen and Pérez will debut the RB16B on the track tomorrow, completing the first filming day of the season (limited to 100 kilometers) and getting firsthand experience with their new vehicle.
