Skoda Epiq: the new affordable electric crossover aiming to conquer Europe

Skoda has begun building anticipation by previewing the new Skoda Epiq, its upcoming urban electric crossover, through a series of photos showing camouflaged prototypes.   • Base version with a 38.5 kWh LFP battery (37 kWh usable), 114 or 133 hp, and a WLTP range of up to 315 km.

  • Long-range variant with a 55 kWh NMC battery (51.7 kWh usable), 207 hp, and up to a 430 km WLTP range.

The most powerful version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds, while energy consumption remains very efficient at around 13 kWh/100 km, even with the larger battery.

Fast charging and standout equipment

When it comes to fast charging, the Epiq also delivers strong figures:

  • Up to 125 kW DC fast charging for the NMC version (10–80% in 23 minutes).

  • 90 kW for the mid-range version.

  • 50 kW for the entry-level model.

Unlike other MEB-based EVs, the Epiq features disc brakes on all four wheels, along with a comprehensive active safety package, including up to nine airbags and advanced driver-assistance systems. Also noteworthy are the Matrix LED headlights, which are uncommon in this segment.

Sustainable interior and generous cargo space

Although Skoda has not yet revealed the interior, it has confirmed a solid tech setup: a 5.3-inch digital driver display and a 13-inch central touchscreen as standard. The seats will be upholstered with materials made from 100% recycled plastic, reinforcing its sustainable approach.

One of its biggest strengths is interior space. The trunk offers 475 liters, even surpassing the combustion-powered Skoda Kamiq, and can expand to 1,344 liters with the rear seats folded, plus additional storage compartments throughout the cabin.
