In the seventh installment of the Fast and Furious saga, there are all sorts of stunts, but one that stands out is when the characters Brian and Dom crash a W Motors Lykan HyperSport through several skyscrapers. Now, you have the chance to own one of the cars used to film that scene.
Keep in mind, if you’re looking for a Lykan HyperSport in pristine condition, with its 740 horsepower, six-cylinder, 3.7-liter twin-turbo engine, this isn’t the car for you. It bears several scars from filming, including scratched paint, scratched plexiglass windows, a roof spoiler, missing hubcaps, absent side mirrors, and a shabby grille and interior. It is drivable, though it uses a six-cylinder, 2.7-liter, 240 horsepower Porsche engine instead of the aforementioned twin-turbo monster. It is also paired with a regular manual transmission instead of a sequential one.
Nevertheless, it’s one of the standout cars from “Fast and Furious 7,” and according to the auction house RubiX, it’s the sole remaining stunt car from the filming. If that’s not enough, RubiX is also including some non-fungible token (NFT) bonuses. The company generates an NFT as a sort of certificate of authenticity for the car. Additionally, a photo collage and a 3D video of the Lykan are included, with the NFT applying to these assets as well.
The NFT information is stored on a decentralized blockchain initiated by RubiX, claiming that its NFT and blockchain technology is also carbon-neutral.
The company is currently accepting pre-bids, with the full auction starting on May 11. Cryptocurrencies are also accepted for bidding. The company expects the car to sell for between $750,000 and $2,500,000, so having a substantial amount of cryptocurrencies would be advisable.
