While the automotive world seems to be overcoming major challenges such as the pandemic and the global semiconductor crisis, new issues are on the horizon. The devastating war on European soil is affecting many aspects of our economy, and one of them is the rising fuel prices.

Diesel and gasoline prices have surged, but other forms of mobility linked to alternative energy sources, such as electric and hybrid vehicles, are not immune to the price hike.

Considering the increase in diesel prices, we decided to look for the most fuel-efficient gasoline model in the trending SUV segment.

Below, you can find our list of the five most fuel-efficient gasoline SUVs on the market. Moreover, these models come with very appealing prices:

  1. Toyota Aygo X Cross: In its evolution from an urban car to a city crossover, this Toyota model offers a completely new design, introduces mechanical improvements, and provides space for four people with a 231-liter trunk. With a power of 72 HP, it offers a really interesting consumption: 4.8 l/100 km.
  2. Suzuki Ignis: Apart from consumption, one of the advantages of the Suzuki model is that it supports a micro-hybrid propulsion system. Kia Stonic: Despite being a veteran, when talking about this Kia model, we are discussing a car that continues to make an impact and, for the occasion, bears the Eco label, thanks to the use of a micro-hybrid propulsion system. Moreover, it is the most powerful in the list, something that also influences its price. The power offered by this KIA model is 120 HP, with a fuel consumption of 5.2 l/100 km.
  5. Hyundai Bayon: The Bayon is a compact SUV on the outside and spacious on the inside.
