The electric pickup truck from General Motors, the GMC Hummer EV, will be in the spotlight at the upcoming Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas, featuring an extensive catalog of nearly 200 official accessories.

GMC Trucks announced that it will showcase three GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 models at the SEMA show, including a pre-production Hummer EV SUV, a production-spec Hummer EV SUT (now simply called a truck), and a Hummer EV truck equipped with Tech Bronze components along with dozens of accessories. These accessories cover off-road functionality, lifestyle elements, and style enhancements.

The showcased Hummer EV for SEMA includes tow hooks, a lunar map, a hood decal, and accessory wheels. Some examples of upcoming accessories include a retractable electric hard tonneau cover, a 50-inch roof-mounted light bar, off-road auxiliary lights, rocker panel protectors, a storage tray set for the frunk, an under-seat organizer, and cargo rails.

GMC references SEMA data suggesting that over $40 billion was spent on automotive aftermarket sales in 2020, with pickup trucks representing the majority of that market.

The Hummer EV features “virtual auxiliary switches” on the driver information center, enabling control of off-road lighting, winches, or other accessories through on-screen selections. GMC emphasizes that many components in this accessory line were designed in parallel with the vehicle, maintaining the same quality standards.

The first deliveries of the Hummer EV Edition 1 truck are expected in late 2021, with the Hummer EV SUV set for delivery in 2023. The SEMA show is known for showcasing unconventional vehicles and products, and it will be interesting to see more unique entries in the electric vehicle space during the event.
