The idea of installing a massive car engine into a motorcycle may sound completely insane, but when the person behind the project is renowned British builder Allen Millyard, the result becomes a true engineering masterpiece. His unique motorcycle powered by a Dodge Viper V10 8.0-liter engine is heading to auction at the end of July, giving collectors the opportunity to own one of the most extraordinary two-wheeled creations ever built.

Unlike the famous Dodge Tomahawk, which used a Viper engine but featured four wheels, Millyard decided to create a genuine two-wheel motorcycle, preserving the spirit of a traditional bike while adding the brutal power of a supercar engine.

For enthusiasts searching for exclusive motorcycles and unique vehicles, specialized automotive marketplaces such as Yacarros provide opportunities to discover different models available in the vehicle market.

A one-of-a-kind creation powered by an 8.0-liter V10 engine

Building a motorcycle around an engine originally designed for a high-performance sports car is no simple challenge. The Viper powertrain alone weighs around 700 pounds (318 kg), which is heavier than many complete motorcycles on the market today.

The finished motorcycle weighs approximately 1,300 pounds (590 kg), yet thanks to Millyard’s meticulous craftsmanship, the machine maintains a surprisingly balanced design and exceptional build quality.

The British engineer is famous for creating extreme custom motorcycles and developing unique mechanical solutions with incredible attention to detail. His previous projects have included transforming conventional engines into unusual configurations, earning him worldwide recognition among motorcycle enthusiasts.

In this case, the Viper V10 engine did not require major internal modifications. The original powerplant already offered the ideal configuration for such an ambitious project, allowing Millyard to focus on designing the motorcycle around the enormous engine.

A motorcycle designed around the engine itself

The structure of this extraordinary machine was literally built around the Viper engine. It features custom subframes supporting a specially designed front fork, along with a strong single-sided rear swingarm.

Every component was engineered to handle the massive weight and power of the V10, creating a combination of handcrafted engineering, exclusive design, and extreme performance.

Almost every part of the motorcycle connects directly to the engine, making the V10 the undeniable centerpiece of the entire creation.

A single-speed motorcycle with enormous power

One of the most fascinating aspects of this motorcycle is its transmission setup. The bike uses a single-speed system, although it does feature a clutch that can be operated either by hand levers or a foot pedal.

Instead of a traditional gearbox, the final drive ratio can be adjusted by replacing different rear sprockets. This unusual configuration highlights the enormous torque produced by the V10 engine, allowing the motorcycle to move its substantial weight with surprising ease.

The 8.0-liter Dodge Viper V10 engine produces enough torque to cruise at low speeds using clutch control, while also delivering incredible top-speed potential. The motorcycle has achieved several land-speed records, including a run of 183.5 mph (295 km/h) with two riders in 2023.

With only one rider onboard, the machine is capable of exceeding 200 mph (322 km/h), an astonishing figure for a handcrafted motorcycle.

A collector’s piece looking for a new owner

The motorcycle was completed by Allen Millyard in 2009 and has covered more than 9,000 miles since then, remaining one of the most impressive examples of custom motorcycle engineering.

Its next chapter will begin on July 22, when it goes under the hammer at the motorcycle auction organized by H&H Classics at the National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull, United Kingdom.

Millyard explained that he decided to sell the motorcycle because he believes he has already proven what the machine was capable of achieving, while also acknowledging that maintaining such a unique creation requires significant time and space.

After years of showcasing its capabilities, this extraordinary motorcycle is now searching for a new owner who can appreciate its engineering, history, and unmatched character.

The Allen Millyard Viper V10 motorcycle is not simply a two-wheeled vehicle; it is a demonstration of how far creativity and engineering can go when passion, craftsmanship, and a legendary performance engine come together.
