In recent years, automotive technology has advanced by leaps and bounds. We have become accustomed to infotainment systems with various functions and complete connectivity, essential for the digital world we live in. But the wheel has been turning, and now Volvo introduces a new Android-based multimedia system that will gradually be added to its model range.
Initially, the new Google system will be introduced in the Volvo XC40 Recharge.
It’s worth noting that Volvo’s technological aim is to have a user-friendly interface and unparalleled connectivity. It will be very similar to using a mobile phone but has been modified not to distract too much while driving. Among the built-in applications, you will find the full Google Maps navigation system and the valuable assistance of Google Assistant, along with other local automotive applications available through Google Play.
In addition to the Android-based multimedia system, the new Volvo will also benefit from the latest version of the advanced driver assistance system, which includes various radars, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors to prevent accidents.
