In the realm of sports cars, Ferrari has long stood as an icon of recognition and brand value. However, a recent study reveals that the Italian brand’s popularity is gradually declining over the years.
The British portal «Comparative Market» conducted a popularity study using Google search data for different car brands over the past 10 years, comparing the results from 2010 to 2020.
According to this study, the five companies that have experienced the greatest decline in popularity are Fiat, Citroen, Opel, Mitsubishi, and Ferrari. While the waning interest in other brands on this list may not be surprising, the decline in Ferrari’s popularity has garnered special attention. Over this decade, global searches for the Ferrari brand have dropped by 35.3%.
On the flip side, Tesla emerged as the most popular brand over the last 10 years, according to this study. This shift in popularity trends signifies changing dynamics in the automotive industry and consumer preferences.
